Born in Sweden in 1968, Mattias Klum has been a full-time freelance photographer specialising in natural history and cultural subjects
since the age of 18.
A veteran of assignments in Brazil, Brunei, Costa Rica, Guyana, India, Nigeria and Thailand, he has also
contributed two cover stories to National Geographic magazine: Malaysia’s Secret Realm and Asia’s Last Lions. Two of his books have
been awarded the WWF Panda book of the year award, and he is a member of the Board of Trustees of WWF – Sweden. Klum’s work has been
exhibited in Sweden, Japan and Malaysia.
